Home Watch Services
Appalachian Land Company offers a complete Home Watch service for property owners. For your peace of mind when away from your mountain home, the following Home Watch services are available:
Home Watch Exterior Check services include:
- Evidence of forced entry and/or vandalism
- Broken trees, fences, drain spouts, shingles, window and doors
- Overgrown grass and weeds
- Debris on sidewalks and driveways
- Broken exterior lighting
- Irrigation systems
- Services may be requested on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Home Watch Exterior/Interior Check includes all Exterior Check services plus the following:
- Door locks working properly and secured
- Air conditioning and heating systems are operating and thermostats are properly set to your specifications
- Security lights and timers are working
- Plumbing is functioning without visible leaks
- No visible evidence of bugs or termites
- Circuit breakers are set
- Smoke detectors are functioning
- Mail brought inside
- Many other services can be provided at your request. Additional charges may apply.
Other services include, but are not limited to:
- Concierge service: Ready home for arrival/basic grocery shopping/cleaning (See information below.)
- Emergency storm check (check list to be developed with owner)
- Pictures taken and forwarded to owner during various stages of home construction or additions
- Fireplaces: delivery and stacking of wood or checking propane tank
- Winterizing of home
- Spring reopening of home
- Special requests (e.g. waiting for deliveries, cable installations, etc.) – additional charges may apply.
RATES: Exterior and/or Interior Checks are available on a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly basis and begin as low as $30. Rates vary depending on frequency, services desired, location of property, size of home and property, and several other variables. Concierge Service
Ready for your arrival!
When you arrive, your home will be ready for you. The air conditioning or heat will be set to your specifications. A cleaning service can be provided. We can food shop and stock beverages.
Grocery Shopping
With our concierge service, you won’t have to worry about going shopping the moment you arrive. All of your staple grocery needs will be waiting. We will develop a personalized list based on your requirements. A sample shopping list may include:
