A Personal Note From Jo Crowe

 

Greetings from the North Carolina Mountains! I want to personally thank each one of you for taking your valuable time to view our website and the spectacular values that we have in our vast listing inventory. It is the very best in Western North Carolina, North Georgia, and East Tennessee.

 

Everything in my life has changed radically through the illness and death of my husband, Steve, of 28 years—and that’s just the beginning…….. and I know that I am not alone. As I’ve pondered deeply these last few months, I am vividly reminded that we were never promised life would be easy—actually quite the contrary. God did promise that He would never leave us nor forsake us, regardless of what life brings. He sealed that promise with the blood of His very own son, Jesus. That is exciting! I have certainly realized that again and again through this season of my life. Change is here! We each have the opportunity to recognize it for the goodness that it can and will bring to each of our lives. It’s a chance to see what we’re really made of. God will graciously give us the grace we need to persevere and for that I am most grateful.

 

On a brighter note, the revised stimulus package is offering some tremendous benefits for homebuyers, and more particularly, first-time homebuyers. The $8000.00 tax credit incentive, coupled with the tremendous value that we are seeing because of so many economic adjustments, should be embraced by many as a “golden” opportunity. The low, low interest rates are the icing on top of the cake. When Steve and I borrowed the money for our first home in 1981 the best bargain we could find on interest was over 15%. The going rate was literally between 16-18%, so we thought we were doing fine. I’m just a “bit” envious of the rates offered now and the fact that you’re literally going to be paid $8000.00 just to purchase a home. I would strongly encourage all renters, young married couples or soon-to-be newlyweds to look at this closely. Parents, please motivate your 20 and 30 year olds to look at this carefully-they will thank you in the future.
